In a Matter of Time PART-20 “Again”

They all reached the camp. Max has gone to bed at the moment they reached, and Tim wanted him to repair his machine. But Max told him, “I’ll repair it tomorrow if you want to repair it now the tools are there.” Tim was also feeling sleepy, and he slept. Tom was not feeling comfortable, and he couldn’t sleep. He was sitting at the corner looking at Tim, like the way Simon looked at Tom.

It was morning, and he couldn’t find Max anywhere. Tom was still looking at him with red eyes, blood in his body, and arms. So Tim asked, “What happened to you?” Tom said, “Max was trying to kill you, so I killed him.” Tim asked, “What! Max was trying to kill me? Why?” Tom said, “He wanted freedom. He told me he heard on a radio that 3 people escaped and whoever will help them get a glorious reward. He wanted to kill both of us. So I killed him first.” Tim asked, “Now, how will we ever repair the machine, and how will we get out of here.” Tom said, “You know how we got here, because of you. You know how we made this machine because of you, and you know how we made a lot of friends because of you. Do you know how we will get out of here? With you, you are the one who made this machine, and we will get out of here with your help.” Tim asks, “But I don’t remember what to do. I wrote it in a book but after traveling through time. I cannot remember anything.” Tom says, “Let’s go outside and let us check what we can do.”

At the moment they went outside, Tom was shot in the head. The next target was Tim. They were getting ready to fire then a man rushed towards Tim and told him to get down. He moves Tim out of the way the bullet misses him by an inch. The man shoots down the sniper. Tim was looking at Tom’s motionless body and couldn’t hear anything the soldier was saying. The soldier shakes him and asks him, “Are you okay?” Tim says, “Yes, I am good. Wait, who are you?” The man didn’t answer, and Tim shakes his head and sees a gun in his hand and saw Tom was down and died. He woke up and took the tools and finished his machine's work, and he was amazed that he all remembered to rebuild his machine.

He took Tom’s body and couldn’t get inside with his body, so he burned his body far away. He said, “You will always be my friend then, now and forever.” Tim gets inside the machine, and this time, he picks his time correctly and travels to the exact time he wanted to go.
